This involved the construction of a 2 storey residential community building for the Sister's of Mercy. The site is located on O'Connell Avenue, Limerick adjacent to the existing convent. The project consisted of a new one and 2 storey convent/residential community building with a floor area of 1,442m² comprising of 23 no. bedrooms, communal facilities and associated site works. As an environmentally sustainable building, it includes such features as a “green” Bauder landscaped roof, a water conservation and reuse system, gas/wood pellet burners and passive extraction systems. On completion, the building was compliant with air tightness requirements.
