This project involved the extension of and alterations to the bedroom block of the existing Ardhu Ryan Hotel, to provide 60 no. apart-hotel units (18 no. one bed units and 43 no. 2 bed units) together with ancillary and external site works. This commercial project for a private developer comprises of a 6 storey frame over basement and is located in Limerick City.  Brian McCarthy Contractors opted for a “Tunnel Form” construction system which enabled 24 hour cycle of concrete pours.  Approximately 40 consecutive concrete pours were completed in 42 working days enabling the very demanding programme to be achieved.
