This contract consisted of the demolition of 3 no. existing terraces and the reconstruction of 2 no. standing terrace areas behind each goal and an uncovered seated terrace containing c.12,000 bucket style seats. The total ground capacity was increased from 34,000 to 50,000 people.

A concourse area with public toilets, turnstiles and access stairwells was also constructed. The siteworks comprised of paving and tar and chip areas with a boundary railing and access gates throughout. The suspended sections of the terracing at the sides and ends of the pitch consist of precast terrace units on precast profiled raking beams, which in turn sit on insitu columns. The curved 'conical' corner sections of the terrace are comprised of insitu concrete. Major components of this contract were the concrete and formwork elements which entailed the placing of approximately 7,500m³ of concrete in floors, columns, beams and terraces.
