Brian McCarthy Contractors were commissioned to design and construct the fit-out of a 750m² ground floor office for the Motor Taxation Section of Clare County Council. Working with local Architect Kostas Wootis, we took the project from 'shell and core' to completion within a 4 week construction period. The contract included the provision of partitions, joinery, suspended ceilings, plastering, decorating and flooring.
 

Full air-conditioning and all electrical services were also included. One unique factor of this project is the work station in the public offices. These were designed by the Archiect to provide security for staff, while allowing them to communicate with clients. Constructed of beech and plywood, the units were assembled in a local joinery. A number of unusual hand applied paint finishes on feature walls contrast with the beech writing shelves at the pay stations.
