Thomond Village consists of three residential blocks comprising 106 apartments with a total of 503 bed spaces. A management facility building, which includes accommodation for the Village Manager, is also provided.
The scheme is the first development on the University of Limerick's North Campus located across the river Shannon from the main campus. The buildings structure is steel framed with precast concrete floor slabs and insitu concrete shafts. The internal leaf of the external walls consist of timber framed panels with insulation infill.

The external facade comprises the following elements:

• Rendered block work
• Vertical overboarded Western Red Cedar cladding
• Vertical and horizontal Zinc cladding
• The roofs consist of an aluminium standing seam roof
