This project involved the construction of new 2-storey post-primary school with P.E. Hall with a total floor area of 4,800m². The structure is comprised of strip footings, fairfaced loadbearing blockwork, precast floors and a combined steel truss/timber truss roof. External finishes included white sand/cement render, forticrete block work to upper level. These also included extensive aluminium windows, screens and rooflights. Internal finishes included vinyl flooring and carpets, plasterboard ceilings, and painted joinery and blockwork. The works also included a full fit-out package to Science Rooms, Home Economics Rooms etc. The external works included hard landscaping and soft landscaping works and also included the final demolition of the old school. This included the safe disposal of asbestos roof slates and asbestos floor tiles.
